No. None of the products we use at Corrective Asphalt Materials are made with coal tar or coal-tar pitch which is a byproduct of coke production.
All our products are petroleum based and contain the exact same maltene factions that get damaged by oxidization during asphalt manufacturing, road laying and because of age and weathering.
Oils generated from agricultural products such as soybeans, don’t contain maltene factions.
Yes. All our products have been tested and will not cause respiratory harm to people, pets or wild animals.
However, please keep pets away from newly treated surfaces to prevent their coats getting sticky.
Reclamite Maltene-Based Rejuvenator extends the life of new roads and road surfaces in good condition by 5-7 years.
Aged road surfaces that are around 7 years old and treated with CRF Maltene-Based Rejuvenator & Seal last 5-10 years longer than roads that are not treated.
Newly treated roads will look black, but this will fade to a smooth gray within a few months depending on the product used and the weight of traffic.
Surface courses such as chip seals replace the old and damaged driving surface of a road.
By comparison, our products are designed to restore and rejuvenate your existing asphalt. They work by replacing the maltene factions lost during manufacturing, road laying and through weathering. This makes the surface strong, flexible and longer lasting. It saves you money by delaying the need for a surface course.
In addition, CRF can be applied to an aged road to stabilize it before adding a new surface course. This give the new course a sound foundation and extends the life of the surface course.
